Hummer H1

The Hummer H1 one is fitted with a 6.5L turbo-diesel V-8 engine which is put to full use in this monster of the car. The average Hummer H1 gas mileage is 16 mpg in flat hard terrain. The Hummer H1 is equipped with a 25 gallons fuel tank which gives it a range of about 400 miles on one tank of gas.

Hummer H2

The Hummer H2 is smaller than the original Hummer but still consumes more gas. This might partly be due to the different engine in the H2 the Vortec 6000 6.0L V-8 engine. The hummer H2 gas mileage is only 9.6 mpg which can be considered rather low and the Hummer H2 might very well be the reason for the critic for the poor mileage in Hummer cars. The H2 has a larger gas tank than the Hummer h1 one but does despite this only have a range of 310 miles on a tank of gas.

Hummer H3

The official numbers from GM states that the Hummer H3 has a gas mileage of 19-20 mpg in highway conditions and a gas mileage of 16 Mpg during city driving.
